Learn to Draw the Portrait

Students will learn the foundations of drawing and become familiar with the graphite medium. Students will learn how to render the human eye, nose, and mouth naturalistically. 
  • Learn how to use graphite pencils, blending stumps and kneaded erasers
  • Demonstrate how to draw realistic features in correct proportions
  • Complete one portrait drawing

One Painting a Day

This art-making adventure is the perfect way for young artists to explore different acrylic painting paths within the fine arts. Over the course of 5 days, students will learn important fundamentals regarding acrylic painting. Each camper will create 4 mini paintings to explore abstraction, stylization & interpretation.

Sea Sculptures

From sharks and jellyfish to whales, students will explore the exciting underwater world! They will learn about three-dimensionality and important elements in sculpture-like how to make an armature and how to make something that is freestanding. 
  • Learn how to make a plaster sculpture 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of three-dimensional forms and painting techniques
  • Complete a life-size sculpture of a sea creature of your choice
