Students will explore environmental design by creating a cartoon-inspired business for a class collaborative project, ToonTown! Students will illustrate their cartoon business’s building & environment, the items they will sell and characters who will run the business.

Watercolor Underworlds

From sharks and jellyfish, to whales, students will explore the exciting underwater world! They will create their own series of sea creature paintings while exploring the watercolor painting medium.

Students will learn the foundations of drawing and become familiar with the graphite medium. Students will learn how to use and work with graphite pencils, blending stumps and kneaded erasers.

Manga comics have highly stylized characteristics and engaging storylines that have become very popular in today's culture. Students will develop their own manga style characters demonstrating their technical drawing skills as well as their creativity and imagination.

From character development, story building, and sequencing, students will learn and understand all realms of illustration through the use of digital software. Students will create their own computer generated graphics to emphasize various scenes in their very own stories.
