Frozen-in-Action Comics

In this camp, students will develop a dynamic & energetic comic narrative, depicting characters “frozen-in-action”! This comic journey explores cool-color palettes, action sequences and panel-to-panel juxtaposition.

Learn to Draw Realistically: Profile Portraits

Students will develop foundational skills in portraiture; they will learn how to draw a portrait in profile using the graphite medium. Students will learn how to realistically draw the eye, nose, and mouth from the side and in proportion.

Abominable Sculptures

In this camp students will create original winter creatures inspired by the Abominable Snowman! They will learn important sculpting techniques including building an armature and working with clay.

Learn to Draw Realistically: Arctic Wildlife

In this camp students will develop essential techniques in drawing. They will recreate an arctic animal using graphite and colored pencil. Students will learn about color temperature while also demonstrating their understanding of proportion and texture.

Street Art 360

Students will choose a location of their choice - from the Colosseum in Rome to the Great Pyramid of Giza - and turn a famous site into a Street Art Scene! Inspired by street artists from around the world, teens will create their own street art style and design as they recreate these locations using acrylic paint, stencils and their imagination.

Animated Snow Globes (GIFs)

Students will discover the process of developing a looping GIF sequence depicting a unique holiday inspired animation. Essential Animation techniques in class will include: exaggeration and squash-and-stretch. Program used: Adobe Photoshop.
